Political parties are criminal organizations- Kofi Koranteng reveals why he won’t join NDC or NPP
Independent Presidential hopeful Mr Kofi Koranteng has stated that the country has been neglected by duty bearers.
During an interview on the Active Morning Show on Monday, 22nd August 2022, Mr Koranteng stated that his target, for now, is to open the eyes of the youth to know that “the baton being handed over to them is broken”. Considering they are the future of the country, he stressed that the youth should be interested in what current leaders will bequeath to them soon.
When quizzed about the youth readiness, he said that as it stands now the youth are warming up and not heated yet.
According to the entrepreneur and presidential hopeful, he had a humbling experience during his tour and was peeved by the fact that the leaders have neglected Ghana for far too long and for him a look into the faces of Ghanaians alone should tell you that.
Mr Koranteng stated that as leaders there is the need for constant checks for reforms to affect the lives of the people.
This according to him, stems from the need, responsibility and commitment to serve the people of Ghana stating that it is the only way he believes he can make the desired impact.
On his decision not to join any political party, he branded them as criminal organizations and accused them of not being leaders but using their positions to exploit the system.
He, therefore, rallied Ghanaians to think of how to get rid of these bad groups in 2024. It is a task of concentration, he noted, adding that these people have not come to serve them.
According to him, he is the right option because he is bringing on board competent leadership.
The presidential hopeful then took on Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for not having a clue of what he is doing, duelling on Ghana seeking help from the International Monetary Fund, he indicated that the Vice president did not anticipate well.
He also accused the government of not cutting their coat according to their cloth or spending within their means which is inexcusable and noted that “these are all glimpses of failed leadership”.
Making a strong case himself to bring on board competent leadership, he added that when given the mandate to lead the country, he will pump 10 billion dollars into the agricultural sector and also widen the tax net through a proper identification system.
