Police Officer Shot 8 Times By Armed Robbers
A police officer stationed at Juaboso narrowly escaped death when he was attacked by four armed robbers. He survived after receiving multiple gunshots to different parts of his body.
The officer identified as G/SGT Akoka Thomas is reportedly was on escort duty at Kotosaa near Juaboso when the incident happened.
A police statement revealed that G/SGT Akoka Thomas sustained eight gunshot wounds on different parts of his body before he was left to his fate.
He however was rescued by a re-enforcement team from the District Headquarters following his distress call.
G/SGT Akoka Thomas was rushed to the St John of God Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, some colleagues of the officers have thronged the hospital to visit their injured colleague.
