Parliament and CLOGSAG set to meet today over unending strike action
A meeting has been scheduled between the Parliamentary Select Committee on Local Government and Rural Development and the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOSSAG ) today Monday, May 9th 2022 over the latter’s indefinite strike action.
A demand for a neutrality allowance that the government had promised but failed to fulfil had left the association with no option but to embark on the industrial action to press home their demands.
The industrial action is biting so hard as it has halted or slowed down service delivery in some government departments and agencies across the country.
In a bid to help resolve the impasse, the committee seeks to meet with the association to find a solution to end the standoff.
