Oliver Barker-Vormawor rushed to hospital after feeling unwell while in police cells
Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Convener for the #FixTheCountry Movement has been rushed to the Police Hospital on Wednesday, March 9 2022 after complaining of being unwell in a Police cell.
A statement cited on social media indicates that “Mr Barker-Vormawor has been feeling unwell since his detention”.
The social activist who is also a lawyer was arrested over a post he published on social media advocating that he would topple the government if the controversial electronic transaction levy also known as the E-levy bill is passed.
Police statement said that “Mr Oliver Baker-Vormawor has been arrested by the Tema Regional Police Command following a post he allegedly made on social media platforms to the effect that he would stage himself if the E-levy bill is passed by Parliament” but was denied bail by the court.
