No food shortages in Senior High Schools – Education Ministry
The Education Ministry has come out to debunk claims about food shortages in various Senior High Schools.
This was after reports were making rounds that there are shortages in food supplied by the National Food Buffer Stock Company, or perishable food items, which the schools buy with state funds.
According to the General Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Thomas Musah there has been agitations in the association about the issue.
A September 1 ultimatum was given to the ministry to resolve the issue but according to Mr Kwasi Kwarteng, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education probes by the ministry indicate that there is no such issue in the various schools.
He assured the public that they will not be ending there but will probe further and get down to the schools and find out if there are problems it will be rectified.
