Next NDC administration will run a leaner government, save money for development – John Mahama
Office of former President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated that the next National Democratic Congress, NDC administration will run a lean government to save money for the development of the country unlike, the current and previous unprecedented government size superintended over by Akufo-Addo.
In a press release signed and issued by his aid, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, it stated that “a next NDC Government will run an administration with a leaner government and far less ministers than Ghana has ever seen and ensure a cut in waste and exercise of frugality in everything Government does”.
The release also debunked the allegations levelled against former President Mahama by the NPP Bono Regional chairman popularly known as Abronye DC, on the issue of ex-gratia, stating the allegations are unintelligent rants fabricated to spread falsehood.
At the NDC Lawyers conference, Mahama promised the next NDC government shall review the 1992 constitution and address the issue of ex-gratia. Against this background, the Bono NPP Chairman, in an interview stated that Mahama took home the fattest ex-gratia of GH¢14 million in 2013.
However, Mahama labelled the allegations as “a campaign of calumny and false allegations against the personality of President Mahama anytime they have their backs against the wall”.
