National Chief Imam supports National Cathedral project with a huge donation
The National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has donated Gh¢50,000 to the National Cathedral project.
This act demonstrates the peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims in the Country. In a tweet by Mr Gabby Otchere Darko, a leading NPP member and cousin of the President, Nana Akufo-Addo commended the National Cheif Imam for his donation.
“Something deeply beautiful about Ghana, the peaceful co-existence, more so, natural unity between Christians and Muslims. The State is building a National Cathedral through donations, not treasury. Today the National Chief Imam donated Gh¢50,000”.
The Vice President in a speech at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Adabraka called upon all Ghanaians to donate to the National Cathedral project.

“I want to make one point before I sit down. As you all know, there are efforts to build a national cathedral. It is very important that we build the cathedral. It is a voluntary exercise, anyone who wants to contribute can contribute, I have contributed and I will contribute more so I encourage everybody to think about it and let us build it. It is for Ghana and for the Glory of God,” said Dr Bawumia.
The Vice President solemnly believes the national cathedral will uplift the glory of God in the country and has thus encouraged everyone to contribute to it.
