Works and Housing Minister, Hon Francis Asenso Boakye has hinted at the formation of an independent and autonomous National Housing Authority.
The establishment of this authority is to help tackle the housing situation that Ghanaians have been riddled with for years.
The Minister further hinted during a working visit to the State Housing Corporation that, the establishment of such an authority will be backed up by National Housing Fund to help aid the construction of affordable houses for “Ghanaians to have decent places to lay their heads.“
Managing Director of the State Housing Corporation, Kwabena Ampofo Appiah welcomed the idea saying ‘’this will help people get places to lay their heads despite their level of income.’’ He then revealed the project will be in places such as Northern ,Volta and other parts of the country.
