Newly appointed Minister for Religious and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Ebenezer Kojo Kum has asked for the  support of the Muslim community to fight the practice of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer (LGBTQ).

The Minister indicated his abhorrence for the practice by stating that “we cannot sit down for Ghana to be a satanic nation since all religious groups which are Muslims, Christians and traditionalist in Ghana are against such practice.”

The Minister’s stance on this controversial LGBTQ topic was made known when he paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam Sheikh Usman Nuhu Shaributu at his residence.

The Minister also touched on the issue of money rituals and the ‘get rich quick’ mentality among some youth in Ghana referring to the sad situation that happened in kasoa where a young boy with prospects was murdered to fulfill the selfish gains of his friends to be rich.

The Minister stressed the need for the youth to be patient and go through the mill to be responsible adults.
