Man, 47 remanded for defiling a 10-year-old girl at Obuasi
Kwame Adinkra, a 47-year-old lotto agent has been remanded in Police custody for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl at Tutuka Tiatiaso in Obuasi.
According to the mother of the victim, the child has been falling sick and after medical diagnosis, it was found out she had been defiled.
Kwame Adinkra is said to have inserted his penis in the victim’s vagina and anus several times.
In an interview, the victim said she was seized with fear as her rapist had warned her she would die if she opened up to anybody concerning what ensured between them.
The Obuasi Divisional DOVVSU station officer, Chief Inspector Josephine Adom who confirmed the incident said the father has reported the case.
The doctor’s report confirmed defilement after which the suspect was arrest and arraigned before court. He is set to reappear in two weeks’ time.
Residents are urging the Police to conduct a thorough investigation on the matter to see if there had been other victims.
