Kasoa Featured Daily In My Security Reports when I Was Minister – Kwamena Duncan
The recent happenings in Kasoa, a town in the Central Region of Ghana has exposed the security situation there which has generated a lot of conversation both on social media and mainstream media platforms.
A former Central Regional Minister Kwamena Duncan joined in on the conversation during a panel discussion on Accra based Peace FM and monitored by myactiveonline.com
The former minister lamented the situation saying “Kasoa featured everyday in my security reports when I was a regional minister.” During the 2020 Voter registration excercise, Hon Hawa Koomson, MP for Awutu Senya East was wielding a gun and firing shots at registration center which generated a lot of discussion. But could that be the moment where the legislator was drawing attention to when he spoke about the security situation in Kasoa? the host quizzed.
Mr Kwamena Duncan further stated that most Police Commanders posted to the Central Region when you ask about their challenges, they identify managing security situation especially in Kasoa as the tough part for them.
