GES Reschedules Reporting Date For Newly Admitted SHS Students
The management of the Ghana Education Service has in a press release stated a new date for the reopening of school for SHS 1 students. The new date according to the release is to enable parents adequately prepare to enroll their wards as well as to allow management of schools to prepare well to receive the new students.
The statement further added that management is hopeful that students who are yet to be enrolled would see this extension as a chance to be enrolled before school resumes.
The new date is now 18th to 21st March, 2021 instead of the earlier date which was 10th March 2021. Management has also allowed for mid semester break for schools to begin from Monday 8th to Thursday 11th March, 2021. The mid semester break is however not compulsory and students who wish to stay must be fed by the schools and as well observe all school rules.
