The Ghana Grid Company has revealed that it has reduced power supply to Trassaco and surrounding areas by 50 percent.
This move was to aid them to resolve faults that led to power outages in major parts of the Greater Accra Region.
According to the statement issued by GRIDCo, the power outage that occurred on Saturday 3rd April 2021 was due to the fall of a conductor on the Tema-East line at Trasacco.
The statement further revealed that ‘’a maintenance team was able to work around the clock to restore power supply to Mallam ,Achimota and Accra Central Bulk Supply Points (BSP)’s at about 4:00am April 4,2021.’’
They however emphasized that, ’’Power supply has however been reduced to 50% in areas around Trasacco as the team works to permanently fix the fault.’’
