Central Region: Man butchers wife to death before attempting suicide
A man known as Kwabena believed to be in his late 30s has allegedly butchered his wife to death at Assin Gyina Wo Bodee Koforidua in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
Kwabena, after allegedly committing the heinous act also attempted to end his own life by attempting suicide. He is said to have but his throat in the hope of ending his life for reasons unknown to our source right now. Fortunately or unfortunately, he was however seen on time and has been sent to the Saint Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin where he is currently battling for his life.
Their marriage has produced two children who are between the ages of four and two.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but some residents allege that the crime was committed following a little misunderstanding between the couple. They claim the couple are from Burkina Faso and arrived not long ago to settle in the area as farmers.
Information is still scanty but Police have begun an investigation into the incident and we will keep you in the know as soon as there are relevant updates to the incident.
