The 2020 Election petition has finally come to a close today, 4th March, 2021 after the Supreme Court in a unanimous decision dismissed the petitioner’s case as having no merit.

After over two months long tussle between the petitioner and the first and second respondents which has seen the petitioner has almost all his motions unanimously dismissed has now being cleared in a judgement read by the leader of the panel of Supreme Court judges sitting on the case, Chief Justice, Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah.

The case was dismissed on the grounds that the petitioner was not able to provide enough proof that no candidate gained more than 50% of valid votes cast to be declared President and thus meriting a run-off between the two candidates with the highest votes.
