BECE commences today across 2158 centres
A total of 571,894 final year students at the basic level will commence their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) from today Monday, November 15, 2021, to Friday, November 19, 2021, across 2,158 centres nationwide.
In the subsequent years, 2019 and 2020 a total number of 531,707 and 517,332 candidates sat the examination.
Candidates have been advised to stay away from any malpractice during this period according to the Head of Public Relations Department of the Ghana Education Service Madam Cassandra Twum Ampofo.
“Candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, teachers, and parents are advised to desist from any form of examination malpractice.”
“GES, WAEC, and the security services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centres across the country,” she added.
Invigilators and supervisors were also advised to ensure candidates follow the strict covid-19 protocol spelt out.
Teachers, heads of schools, parents and other stakeholders were commended for aiding the students to prepare for their examination.
Details concerning the selection process into Senior High School will be communicated later and all candidates have been wished the best of luck in their examination.
