Be serious with Aisha Huang’s case – Otokunor tells government
Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Dr Peter Boamah Otokunor has called on the government to confront the issue regarding Aisha Huang with all seriousness.
Dr Boama’s reaction regarding the issue is in response to the allegations made by the lawyer for the accused Nkrabeah Effah Dartey saying the media has blown his client, Aisha Huang’s issue out of proportion.
But considering the gravity of the matter, he said the media cannot be faulted by Aisha Huang’s lawyer because the country is reeling in crisis due to the issues of illegal mining and the worst depreciation of the currency ever in the history of the country while accusing some New Patriotic Party members of trying all means of to defend the notorious illegal miner.
He insists that she should face the full rigours of the law.
“What we are demanding now after finding out that, Aisha Huang is still in the country is the proper application of the law in dealing with her. She must be prosecuted,” he added.
