Akufo-Addo reinstates Sekondi-Takoradi MCE who assaulted a policeman on duty
A letter signed by the Minister for Local Government, Dan Botwe, and addressed to the Western Regional Minister directing him to hand over to his supervisory role revealed that president Nana Akufo-Addo has reinstated the suspended Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Abdul Mumin Issah.
The MCE was suspended to pave way for investigations after he assaulted a Police officer verbally on 3rd February 2022, when the officer caught him violating traffic regulations.
“I wish to inform you that H.E the President of the Republic, in response to recommendations by the Western Regional Coordinating Council has given approval for the reinstatement of Mr Abdul Mumin Issah as the Metropolitan Chief Executive for the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly,” part of the letter read.
The letter also indicated that his reinstatement comes at the back of a recommendation by the Western Regional Coordinating Council.
