Aisha Huang and her three accomplices in court again today
The apprehended notorious illegal miner Aisha Huang whose reemergence back in Ghana has sparked a lot of conversation is scheduled to appear before the Accra Circuit Court 9 today 14th September 2022.
She along with her three compatriots Jong Li Hua, Huang Jei and Huaid Hai Hun, whose pleas are yet to be taken are expected to face charges of mining without a license and engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a valid license.
Since her reemergence back in Ghana after her supposed deportation in 2018, Ghanaians have expressed worry about the security at our various borders and the government’s ability to tackle the canker of illegal mining.
Meanwhile, assurances have been made by President Akufo-Addo and Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame to tackle the case to the latter and ensure she faces the full rigours of the law this time round.
According to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Information Minister, details surrounding how Aisha Huang re-entered Ghana will be revealed by the prosecutors in court today.
“Yes, it is all available in the Court docket, which will be provided. When they provide the further particulars of the offence in Court, the Prosecutors will go through all of those details with the specific dates and times of the information that they have,” he said.
