Two suspects have been arrested by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command over an alleged assault on a 42-year-old man who later died at Awutu Bosomabena, a suburb of Awutu Bereku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
Kwaku Gyarteh and Kwashie Agyepong are the suspects who engaged in an argument with the victim, Christopher Avedzi, over a bread knife. One of the assailants was said to have wiped the victim’s bread knife with the palm of his hand which resulted in a heated argument between the two. “Family members came that it was a result of that assault that’s why he died. So we started the investigation and did postmortem, and today they pointed to us the one they claim assaulted him so we have arrested him and one other person.” Chief Superintendent Joshua Semanyo revealed.
