Kwame Asare Obeng commonly known as A Plus is serving notice that Ghanaians will not take kindly to issues if the Electoral Commission (EC) presents its budget for the 2020 elections with biscuits included as some of the items purchased.
Robert Joseph Mettle-Nunoo, a third Witness for the petitioner in the Election 2020 on Monday during cross examination sparked spontaneous laughter in the court room when in response to a question from the Counsel of the Electoral Commission Justine Amenuvo indicated he was given tea without biscuits.
But Mr Rojo Mettle Nunoo in response said “I was offered tea, I wasn’t offered biscuits” sparking laughter. Not even the EC Chair, Jean Mensa could hold her laughter inside the Supreme Court room.
But A Plus on his official page wrote” Ɛna wonom tea 🍵😋 Owie yɛ nso a, ɔse biscuit nka ho.” Oh Rojo 😅 Nana B can talk errrrh. If EC adds biscuit to their 2020 election budget errrh”
Meanwhile, Mr. Mettle Nunoo has in response to his temperament under cross examination “I have a temperament for fairness, I have a temperament for telling the truth, I have a temperament that makes me want to fight to defend the integrity of my name”.
The witness rejected an assertion of the EC’s lawyer that his statement and testimony to the court were a “bad explanation for the bad job you did” on behalf of the petitioner at the Strong Room of the EC.
“You are being judgmental,” Mr Mettle-Nunoo responded saying: “I was performing a function that was supposed to protect the interest of my presidential candidate and I did it based on my knowledge, past experience and a certain sense of high maturity in the strong room.”
