University of Ghana ranked the best university in Ghana in 2022

The Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index 2022 Version has ranked the University of Ghana (UG) as Ghana’s top tertiary institution. The Alper-Doger (AD) is a system that provides a ranking and analysis based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists.

According to Alper-Doger’s (AD) latest findings, it has been discovered that the first of Ghana’s top 1,000 scientists is from the University of Ghana, and the University of Ghana has more than 270 scientists among the top 1,000 scientists highlighted.

The Alper-Doger as it provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of affiliated scientists further discovered that across the diverse disciplines within its four Colleges, the University leads nationally, progressively intensifying its impact in pursuit of excellence. The premier institution’s scholars represented 30 % to 70% of the top 20 ranked scientists in seven of the eleven subject areas.

Dr Dwomoa Adu, a Senior Research Fellow of the University of Ghana Medical School is adjudged the best scientist in Ghana out of a total of 1,000 scientists ranked in the country.
