Patient commits suicide at the hospital where he was receiving treatment

At the Juaso Government Hospital in the Asanti Region, a man who is said to be in his 40s was found hanging dead. The deceased has been identified as Limeh.

According to reports, he was brought to the hospital on September 19, 2021 at about 2 pm to receive treatment. It is said that Limeh paraded the hospital on Tuesday accusing the family of abandoning him and wants to incur costs for them.

A witness to his acts prior to the incident narrated what transpired. “We were here yesterday when someone came to share monies for the patients; the children had GHS50 each and the adults, GHS100 of which he gave his share to someone for safekeeping,” she narrated.  Limeh, went to take GHS10 from the money and went out of the hospital on Wednesday morning without informing anyone.

He was once again seen by another person but now with a rope which is believed to have been bought by the GHS10

On Wednesday, September 22, at 9:00 am, news broke about a patient who had committed suicide and when hospital staff and patients rushed to the scene, they discovered it was Limeh

The deceased was found on the ground with the rope on his neck, this came as shocking news to everyone. The family was hence called and the body was deposited at the Yawkwei Steward Hospital Mortuary.
