Open Our Borders: Jomoro constituents hit the streets today

Another demonstration over the closure of land borders in Ghana is set to take place today.

This time at the border town of Jomoro where Ghana shares borders with the Ivory Coast in the Western Region. This is to also express their frustrations about the hardships they have been through over the closure of borders due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is the second border town to protest after the people of Aflao in the Ketu South constituency also came out in their numbers led by the Member of Parliament, Hon Abla Dzifa Gomashie to appeal to the government to open the border in their community.

The main aim of this protest is to urge the government to open these borders for activities to return to normalcy in their various communities.

According to Emmanuel Benle Special aid to the Jomoro Member of Parliament all is set for the protest.

Its been a year since various borders were closed but unfortunately, land borders have not opened a situation the Member of Parliament laments that have had major life and economic impact on her constituents hence her call to open the borders.
