Kasoa Murder: Police Given Two Weeks To Determine Suspect’s Age

The Ofaakor District Court has given the Police two weeks to determine the age of one of the boys involved in the  Kasoa murder case.

Presided over by Justice Samuel Adjei, the court asked the Police to present the docket of the matter to the Attorney General for advice. The Police however assured they are close to determining the age of the boy.

However, the suspects were denied the bail they were seeking and still remain in custody for security reasons. Also, there is seeming anger brewing from the community the crime was committed some weeks ago which caused a public uproar.

The judge indicated that they needed more legal representation in such a case. At the court today the council for the boys however was not surprised they were not granted bail.

The spokesperson for the late boy’s family however expressed disappointment with the age issue at the court and hoped the court would expedite action in carrying out its judgment on the issue for the family to have some closure on the matter.

They are scheduled to be  back in court on May 4, 2021.
