At Least Four Dead, 15 Injured In Car crush At Obretema

Information reaching myactiveonline.com indicates at least 4 people have lost their lives and 15 others injured in an accident at Obretema, near Suhum. The accident occurred at about 1:30 pm on Sunday, April 11 on the Accra – Kumasi Highway.

According to an eyewitness at Obretema, the accident occurred when a sprinter bus with registration number GW 7444 -21 heading towards Accra had a burst tyre.

The driver of the Sprinter bus lost control of the steering wheel when the tyre ruptured leading the car to summersault causing at least four people to die on the spot with several others injured.

The injured persons are receiving treatment at the Suhum Government Hospital and the dead bodies at the same hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.
