Why Should Akuapem Poloo Be Jailed When NAM1 Is Free? – Bridget Otoo Fumes
The hottest topic now is about Rosemond Brown known by her stage name Akuapem Poloo. This is after news came out that she has been found guilty by the Accra Circuit Court.
After he pleaded guilty to all three charges levelled against her for posting nude pictures of herself with her 7years old son online some months ago. The act of the mother of one led to public backlash with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection intervened.
She has been remanded in Police custody pending a pregnancy test before her sentencing. She was convicted on her own plea by the court presided. The result of the pregnancy test she has to undergo will determine how her sentencing will go.
Several people are peeved with the outcome of the case and are questioning the logic of it. One such persons is ace broadcaster Bridget Otoo who wonders why Akuapem has to suffer a fate high profile offenders usually don’t suffer.
Comparing it to the case of NAM1 whose Menzgold got embroiled in an alleged scam. And considering that the owner of the company through whose hands many Ghanaians lost their savings has not been convicted years after the incident, it is unfair to incarcerate Rosemond Brown.
According to Bridget, she doesn’t understand why NAM1 should be walking about freely after he has done people, so much harm that some even lost their last lives in the process of fighting for their money.
