Celebrated musician and the current Students Representative Council president of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administrations, Samini has called out President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over Ghana’s failing economy.

Samini who endorsed the sitting President ahead of the 2020 general elections and composed a song titled “Kpokoya” for the president, has not said anything since the election despite the country’s economic downturn under President Akufo-Addo.

However, the dancehall artiste cum entrepreneur could hold it no longer having witnessed the Ghana Cedi take the whipping of its life by the US dollar. He thus took to his Facebook wall to call out the president asking where the real Nana Addo is.

“Dear @NAkufoAddo. I supported you to bring change and stability,” Samini stated in his short open letter to the president.

“I believed in the vision and your concept of change! But with 2 years to go, my soul bleeds. Our investments wash away daily as the dollar openly whips our Cedi. Your people are crying. We cannot pretend all is well. But if God has blessed Ghana with anything, it is our ability to stare difficulty right in the face and say, it will #bealright🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Ghana must work again! Where is the Nana Addo who begged us for the mandate?” he questioned.

He challenged the president to ensure discipline at all levels. “The indiscipline in high and low places of government must be checked”.

He concluded his message by encouraging his followers to keep the hope alive as everything will be alright one day.

“We go keep hope alive and continue to soldier on. What’s a man without hope? We can only continue to pray for a better tomorrow. To all my high graders out there, I say it again, we will #bealright!!!
