Sista Afia has gone wild on Ghanaians on social media for shading Ghanaian musicians after the latest Grammy snub.

The internet has been blooming with congratulatory messages for Nigerian duo Burna Boy and Wizkid. The Nigerians shone bright at the 63rd Grammys awards. Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category with his “Twice As Tall” album. Wizkid on the other hand scooped the Best Music Video category for his song with Beyoncé, “Brown Skin Girl”.

Ghanaians with their long time rivalry with Nigerians could not be left out in the show though their artists were not present. As several Ghanaians including celebrities took to their social media handles to congratulate the Naija duo, others felt otherwise.

Many are claiming Ghana is always behind Nigeria and Ghanaians only wait to congratulate their neighbours who do all the work to earn the glory. Some shaded Ghanaian artists for failing to live up to the bill.

Sisita Afia did not take that lightly as she doesn’t understand why Ghanaian musicians are condemned for not making it to the Grammys. In condemning Ghanaians for criticizing their musicians for not making it to the Grammys, she wondered if Ghanaians are even cursed.

She pondered if it is a curse by Ghana’s first president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah or somebody else in the 1930s, that Ghanaians can’t support one another. She added that if we needed to go as a people to “Antoa” for cleansing, we should do it else this hatred and lack of support for one another is now killing us.

The diva ended by questioning her fans if any of them have a parent who has a Grammys Award. Well we cannot tell if she wants to award any fan whose parent has a Grammy Award but all we can confirm now is, Sista Afia is peeved. So fans tread cautiously, you never know what’s at stake.
