Shatta Wale shot by gunmen in Accra
Ghanaian Dancehall heavyweight, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has reportedly been shot by gunmen in Accra on Monday evening.
His road manager Nana Dope broke the news of the incident on Snapchat that Shatta Wale was ambushed by gunmen at East Legon and was attacked during the rain but he escaped.
“SMH!! They could do this in this rain? SMFH,” Nana Dope wrote on Snap.
“If not the fact that he was driving prepared, it would have been too bloody!! F*ck this!! My niqqa too strong to give up!! You strong my g, I dont even know what to even say!! The typing make difficult.
“Thanks to all those calling to check up, the king is still at the emergency ward receiving treatment.
“The gunmen are still on the run. Thanks to Ghana Police”.
It is unknown as yet who his attackers are and what the motive for the attack was but with Shatta receiving treatment, it is hoped that he recovers quickly and gets back to his normal self.
