The news went viral in the evening of Monday with news of Shatta Wale receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following a gunshot attack on him by unknown gunmen who ambushed him at East Legon. The Police after getting wind of the news quickly deployed personnel on the ground to trace Shatta Wale’s whereabouts but several calls and contact with his family and close friends could not lead to his location.
But in the morning of Tuesday, Shatta Wale took to social media to apologize to his family and fans while berating the Police for their lack of action when a Prophet allegedly prophecy that he[Shatta Wale] was going to be attacked and killed by gunshots on Monday.
That did not end the conversation though as the Police arrested two of the persons responsible for spreading the news of the attack, Nana Dope and Gangee.
Also, the Police used the opportunity to caution the public against publishing false information capable of disturbing public peace.
“As stated in previous statements, the public is advised to desist from publishing false information, capable of disturbing the peace of the country or risk being arrested and prosecuted.”
