The price of sachet water, popularly called pure water has been moved to 30ps from 20ps, the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced.
Consumers will now have to pay additional ten pesewas for a sachet of water effective Monday, March 15, 2021.
The Association in a Press Statement said the decision is due to an increase in the cost of fuel and production.
Consequently, a bag of pure water will now be sold at Ghc3.5 from distribution trucks while bulk (200bags and above) sale price or depot price will be sold at Ghc3.
However, the public may be buying at Ghc4.5 to Ghc6 per bag from retail shops and marts depending on the location.
